My G7 7588 started making a lot of noise from the fans. Some looks through the Dell community posts and this was a pretty pervasive problem. My laptop was no longer under warranty so I bought these fans to replace mine in hopes the job would be easy enough for me to pull off.It wasn't an easy job but these fans fit in factory slots with no problems and my laptop went quiet again. Not a bad investment and a repair that Dell was notoriously over charging to do based on my research.
