I was building a Custom Gaming PC build for a client. I wanted to surprise him with a special, personal touch along with come custom cables and lighting. I searched for 80mm grills and they're practically all the same. I love the understated Apevia grills and such for sleek, understated builds that don't want to draw attention to fans. However, building in a Corsair Air 240, the back 80mm fans are very visible, so I wanted to make them a focal point. After paging through the many custom fan grills that Inspired Laser Design has, all of which are amazing and hard to settle on, I picked the Sun Burst one just because I thought two of them side by side would look better than the more obtrusive dragons. As stated in the product description, these are not made for fans stacked right next to each other in parallel, like on a radiator. They're best for single fans. But in my scenario, I had two fans vertically stacked. All I did to fix them so they didn't bump into each other and overlap was use a Dremel and sandpaper to file the touching sides down into flat edges. It worked perfectly and the two were easily stacked upon each other. I used rubber fan mounts to install them on the opposing side, while the case mounted side I used normal 6/32 fan screws. However, if you need to mount them all the way through the case, you may need something like an M3 button head bolt or whatever will do the job. These look fantastic in the build, transforming cheap, transparent fans unto. Because they are so thin, they are brittle, and it is after all, acrylic. But still, they are expertly made. 4/5 because of the necessary modding and brittleness. Otherwise, these are great fan grills. In the picture, you can see the grills on the far left 80mm fans (the build is not completely finished in this picture, but I wanted to show them in action).
